Community & Governance
The transformation to a sustainable university is only possible with a strong community and transparent structures. Supported by a shared vision for sustainability and climate protection, we empower students and employees at all levels of TUM to actively shape the sustainable transformation.

TUM Sustainability Day 2026
With over 5,000 participants, TUM Sustainability Day 2024 was a resounding success – a day that demonstrated how powerfully and creatively the TUM community is already shaping the topic of sustainability.
In 2026, we will take this experience to a new level: The next TUM Sustainability Day on April 29, 2026, will be even more international and inspiring!
With international projects and partnerships, we are opening up new horizons and making sustainability a tangible experience.
Look forward to a vibrant Sustainability Festival that brings together science, business, ecology, and society.
TUM continues to send a strong message: We walk the talk—and we are moving forward!
