PRIMA
Participatory Living Lab for Innovative Mobility Management with App-based Incentives
The Participatory Living Laboratory for Innovative Mobility Management (PRIMA) tests new and creative methods to improve the conditions for using sustainable mobility options for employees and students at TUM.
In addition to app-based incentives like gamification and information systems, we are testing how your participation in decision-making on new mobility measures directly impacts environmentally friendly behavior. This gives you not only the chance to reduce CO₂ emissions but also to help shape the future of mobility at TUM in the long term.
In PRIMA, two measure will be implemented at TUM
Mobility experiment with app-based incentives
In an experiment, participants' travel behavior is recorded for various digital measures using a tracking app, and the effects are analyzed. One approach is to provide participants with targeted information on the emissions generated per trip and more sustainable mobility alternatives. Alternatively, a digital incentive system is examined as a gamification approach.
The selection survey is now complete. Many thanks to everyone for their active participation. You are making an important contribution to better understanding the TUM community and shaping sustainable mobility concepts accordingly. The next phase of the study will begin shortly. All survey participants who agreed to continue with the study will be contacted via email before October 28. Information for study participants can be found here.

Participatory Budgeting
The PRIMA project promotes the participation of students and employees at the Technical University of Munich.
Through Participatory Budgeting - a process that allows community members to have a say in how available financial resources are allocated - we aim to actively involve the TUM community in shaping sustainable mobility and the quality of stay at the university.
