The Green Offices of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) are student-run sustainability offices supported by the TUM Sustainability Office. As a central point of contact for sustainability on each campus, they play a crucial role in the university's sustainable transformation and help raise awareness of the topic among the TUM community. The Green Offices have existed since 2018 and are now established across four campuses.

The Green Offices consist of a total of 13 student employees who contribute their knowledge across different fields, bringing together diverse cultural and academic backgrounds. Established in 2018, the Green Offices are now active at four TUM locations.
Green Office Straubing
“Transformative change, much like a domino effect, requires an initial catalyst. The potential to become an agent of change exists within every individual - they just need to see how achievable that first step can be. Having been significantly influenced by the Green Office long before my active participation, I now recognize my responsibility to sustain this momentum in our campus and inspire others to join the chain of positive environmental impact”.

“I am excited to be part of the Green Office and to actively contribute to the Freising community by advancing sustainable projects in our university town. In my Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning, I focus on sustainability and sociology—particularly on how these fields can be meaningfully integrated into urban planning. Working at the Green Office feels both inspiring and forward-thinking, as it allows me to put new ideas into practice together with dedicated and like-minded people.”

Even the smallest stream or tiniest flower matters — just like with us and environmental protection. Every action counts.”
